Unhuman Nature
Zamiel just watched the movie Lolita and now knows what all the fuss was about when it came out all those years ago. Disturbing yet poetic in a strange kind of way, much like a car crash situation

Three possible reasons why your bicycle isn't going fast enough:
1. The bike is not in the correct gear for the terrain
2. Tyres are not adequately inflated
3. You are too heavy for it

Am loving this ad on Channel 4 and E4 which is superbly designed and played out. I have even recently downloaded the featured track (it's called Modern Art by The Black Lips,)and try to simulate the moves when I listen to it ! I have never really been a huge watcher of the show, but now I find the cast quite endearing (especially Jameela and Will, the two right-most,) and myself- slightly more connected. 260312
The Give And Take Ratio
In retrospect, ever since the beginning of my saty in London it has been one dissapointment after another.
And it's not really this fact that is bothering me- I am quite resilient and have better things to worry about- but it is the way in which it is effecting my moods and my outlook towards my environment.
I guess the notable reasons for this state of mind needs to be elaborated in order to be pensive. The main being the way in which a particular individual's behaviour is over-riding my right to be angry, upset or have opinions on certain things affecting me. It's not a comfortable feeling when someone is willing to bang on about things which are conflicting with them in search of sympathy and then, not recipricate when I, in turn experience the same thing. Of course, I don't thing the reasons for these feelings are imperative here, but more the selfish nature which is unmasked when this happens. I can't even think of a less humanistic way of treating somebody. It's like being in a conversation and answering withough actually congnating what the other person is saying (OK, I will put my hand up to this particular unattentivness.)
I just can not think of a way to make myself understand, or indeed justify this behaviour. I think I have reason to feel negatively if things don't go my way- and so do others- but it is the way in which this should be recieved which is the key here- everyone has bad days. And sometimes all you need is to be acknowledged during a passionate rant and maybe even a door slam or too to make it better. 210312
